Indicators

Add, read, set, remove.

Any indicator on any chart, by name: ours, yours, or anyone else's. Put it on, read what it says, ask what that means, change a setting, save it as a template, take it off. The chart reloads for you, and only that chart. Ten questions, in order, on the ES and NQ charts you built on the Charts page.

The replies are the assistant’s exact words, the pictures stills, from the recorded run of September 24, 2026. Watch the recording.

Coming in cold? Say "open an ES 5-minute chart and an NQ 5-minute chart, 30 days, on my HTAIDarkBlank chart template" first, then carry on from question 2.

Permission: reading needs nothing. Adding, removing, changing a setting, loading or saving a template need the __HTAIBridge indicator on that chart, which a chart your assistant opened carries already. No menu switch, except that removing one, or saving or loading a template over what is there, needs the Destructive tick too, and your yes in the chat unless --- Unattended is on.
1Ask this
Put both charts on 5-minute bars, ETH sessions, 30 days back, and fit each one to the last full session.

"Both charts on 5-minute, all hours, 30 days, showing the last session."

The session indicators want the whole trading day under them. Two charts changed and refitted in one sentence, each reloading on its own. The recorded reply below fitted the current session; the prompt asks for the last completed session, so a new run should use that session’s actual start and end.

ES chart 9 and NQ chart 8 are now 5 minute bars, ETH sessions, 30 days back, 6,252 bars each. Each one is fitted to the current session, from 5 PM yesterday, 228 bars.

On the ES chart, add a daily VwapPlus and a daily VPSessions, both on RTH hours, and SupplyDemandMTF, each on its HTDarkDefault template. Enable VPSessions Continuous so its named plots can be read, and tell me what is on the chart now.

"Put a daily VWAP and a volume profile on regular hours, and Supply Demand, on the ES chart."

Three HT indicators added in one breath, each on your dark template, set the way you want before it is built. The chart shows the whole day; the VWAP and the profile follow the regular session through their own Trading Hours setting. The chart reloads after each one.

The ES chart now carries VwapPlus Daily on RTH hours, VPSessions Daily on RTH hours with Continuous on, and SupplyDemandMTF, each on its HTDarkDefault template, plus the Bridge indicator. The VWAP reports 22 named plots, the profile 16, Supply Demand 4.

On that chart, read me the daily VWAP and its 1 and 2 SD bands, today's POC, value area high and low, and the nearest supply and demand zone above and below. Then say where the last price sits against each of them, nearest first.

"Where is price against all of that right now?"

The live value of every plot you care about, and where the last price sits among them, in one answer. Your assistant reads the indicator, it does not recompute it.

The last price is 7,771.75. Nearest first: 6 and a quarter above the plus 1 SD band at 7,765.50. 9 below the plus 2 SD band at 7,780.75. 13 and a quarter above value area high at 7,758.50. 21 and a half above the daily VWAP at 7,750.25. 36 and three quarters above the minus 1 SD band. 41 and a quarter above the POC at 7,730.50. 47 and three quarters above value area low at 7,724. 52 above the minus 2 SD band. 58 and a half above the demand zone at 7,707 to 7,713. And 71 and a quarter below the supply zone at 7,843. Price is between the plus 1 and plus 2 bands, above the value area.

4Ask this
Over the last three sessions on that chart, how has price behaved around the daily VWAP: how many times it touched or crossed it, which side it spent most of the time on, and whether yesterday and today look like it is respecting the VWAP or ignoring it. Short answer.

"How has price been treating the VWAP the last few sessions?"

The bars and the plot, read together: every touch, every cross, which side held, over the window you name. The read a trader does by eye, done from the numbers.

The assistant replied

By day, on the 5-minute bars. September 22 was choppy: 19 touches, 10 crosses, closes split about half and half. September 23 spent 73 percent of its bars below the VWAP, with 21 touches and 7 crosses. Today, through noon, 84 percent below, 10 touches, 3 crosses. The last two days read as the VWAP acting as a lid that price kept testing from below. Only in the last stretch has price moved above it.

On the daily VwapPlus: set Missed/Naked Vwaps gold, width 3, dashed, opacity 50; MidPoint Lines cyan, width 1, dashed, opacity 100; turn previous-period VWAPs off. Read those settings back after reload.

"Make the missed VWAP lines gold and thicker."

Change the settings the indicator exposes, then verify them after the chart reloads.

The assistant replied

After reload, read back: Missed/Naked Vwaps are gold, width 3, dashed, opacity 50. MidPoint Lines were already cyan, width 1, dashed, opacity 100 on this template, so they stay. Previous-period VWAPs are off.

Switch the VWAP and the profile on that chart to ETH sessions.

"Put the VWAP and the profile on all hours."

The same Trading Hours setting, changed the other way, on two indicators at once. The profile widens to the whole day where you can see it.

VwapPlus Daily and VPSessions Daily both read back CME US Index Futures ETH after reload. The profile now covers the whole day.

Put an RSI under the price, and a Volume panel under that.

"Put an RSI under the price, and Volume under that."

NinjaTrader's own indicators, by name, each in a panel made for it below the price. Any indicator installed on your machine goes on the same way.

RSI is in panel 1 and Volume in panel 2, each panel made for it, both live.

Save the daily VwapPlus on that chart as a VwapPlus template called Scalp. Then remove SupplyDemandMTF from the chart, and confirm what is left.

"Save that VWAP as a template called Scalp, and take Supply Demand off."

Your own indicator template, written from the indicator exactly as it is now, for any chart later. Then one indicator removed by name, its drawings and toolbar button with it.

Scalp is saved through NinjaTrader as a VwapPlus template. SupplyDemandMTF is removed. Left on the ES chart: VwapPlus Daily, VPSessions Daily, RSI, Volume, and the Bridge indicator.

On the NQ chart, add a VwapPlus on my Scalp template and a daily VPSessions on HTDarkDefault, and tell me what is on it.

"Now the NQ chart: a VWAP on my Scalp template and a profile."

The template you just saved, used on another chart, with the profile beside it. "Do the same on every NQ chart I have open" is the same sentence, wider.

The NQ chart carries VwapPlus Daily from the Scalp template, gold missed VWAP lines and ETH hours included, VPSessions Daily on HTDarkDefault, and the Bridge indicator.

Save this workspace.

"Save this workspace."

Both charts, their indicators and templates kept, so HTAITest opens like this next time.

HTAITest is saved, with both charts and everything on them.

More you can ask (These are just examples. There is no menu to learn.)

  • "What is every indicator on this chart set to?"
  • "Why is my VWAP line missing?" (a toolbar switch, a hidden plot, or a setting; it finds which)
  • "Add a weekly VWAP and a monthly one."
  • "Put the MACD in the same panel as the RSI."
  • "Load my dark template on every HT indicator on this chart."
  • "Swing strength 6 on Swings MTF."
  • "Add a Cum Delta in its own panel."
  • "Take the VWAP off and put it back on its default template."
  • "Do the same on every NQ chart I have open."
  • "How does it treat the POC?" / "How many times has it tested the supply zone?" / "Which VWAP band has capped it today?" (the same read about any plot)
  • "Put a MACD under that." (any indicator installed on the machine, by its name)
